The Young Cruisers Association seeks to bring likeminded, adventurous souls together to create community on the water. After all, we share a unique, common bond that deserves to be celebrated!
YCA’s flagship event is undoubtedly the Exuma Floatchella.
Floatchella is more than just an event; it's a tradition, an experience that connects like-minded cruisers to the magic of nature and camaraderie.
Later this month, cruisers will assemble at Shroud Cay to take part in the multi-day event, as part of the YCA’s Bahamian Winter to Remember event series. This is the third consecutive year of the Exuma Floatchella and is sure to be the most legendary one yet!
Floatchella History
Five years ago, a few curious Young Cruiser’s stumbled upon the world’s most stunning lazy river at Shroud Cay. Armed with nothing but a bottle of rum and some floats, they let the tide take over and drifted into what can only be described as pure magic. And just like that, Floatchella was born. Since then, YCA members have been flocking back every year, like sea turtles returning home, to relive the vibe.
YCA hosted the first official Exuma Floatchella in 2020. Since then, floatchellas and raft-ups have become some of the most popular community events.
They have been hosted by YCA members all around the world, including Indonesia, Croatia, Panama, BVIs, French Polynesia and more. There’s no doubt you’ve already seen pictures from these iconic events.

This year, we’re taking it up a notch—let’s make 2025 the biggest, most epic YCA raft-up yet. Time to float, party, and make some more magic happen!
If history repeats itself, the 2025 Exuma Floatchella is sure to be an unforgettable week, including a raft-up, river float, beach parties and more!
Sanctuary Creek Float
Blow up your inflatables, grab a cold drink and hop in the most stunning, natural lazy river you’ve ever seen.
We will float through Sanctuary Creek, which boasts some of the clearest water and most pristine beaches in the Bahamas.
If we’re lucky, the turtles and rays will join in on the fun.
Raft-Up
With a bit of creativity and teamwork, everyone safely comes together to create a floating common space to socialize.
There’s no better way to meet up with friends than literally being linked up at anchor in paradise. Don’t stress, as everyone helps each other get carefully into place.
Mark your calendar and set your course for Exuma. It’s sure to be the biggest and most epic YCA meet-up yet.
